Speaker Level Inputs
A really good amp doesn't just provide power. It also offers options for customizing the sound in your vehicle. The 2-channel GM-5400T provides a selectable 50Hz bass boost and a built-in crossover for fine-tuning your tunes. Plus, it comes with speaker level inputs for easy connection to an OEM headunit.
Have It Your Way
Selectable 50Hz Bass Boost gives you more control over how your music sounds. It lets you set the optimal bass level for each speaker/sub connected to the GM-5400T, so the tone controls from your headunit can do what they do best. And because this is selectable bass boost, you can set the level at 0dB, 6dB, or 12dB, whichever sounds best to you.
Inspired By Excellence
Pioneer is constantly finding ways to make amplifier technology better. With added design features like the H-Shaped chassis, inherited from our top of the line PRS amplifiers, our improved GM-Series prove how you can add cutting edge technology and more power to your system without breaking the bank. Like all Pioneer products, these amps are fully tested to ensure that each is designed and built for performance.
Superior Ground Parts
High levels of electric current can easily create noise within an amplifier - especially ground noise. To avoid this, Pioneer made careful consideration when designing and selecting components for use within the amplifier. Only the best, most efficient parts were selected after repeated testing to provide a superior noise-free listening experience.
Exclusive H-Shaped Chassis
The H-shaped bottom chassis utilizes Pioneer's expertise and exclusive technologies to eliminate resonant vibrations. Directly inspired from Pioneer's high-end PRS-A900 amplifier, the H-shaped bottom chassis ensures that the music is reproduced as intended - loud and clear.
Efficient Sub-Heatsink
MOSFETs generate high power, and in many cases, high heat as well. When designing the amplifier chassis Pioneer utilized a main heatsink and a sub-heatsink to dissipate heat from the MOSFETs. These efficient heatsink structures ensure that the MOSFETs and the amplifier keep their optimal cool.
Gain Control
What is power without control? To accommodate the varying range of signal levels coming from today's factory and aftermarket radios, all of Pioneer's GM-series amplifiers feature adjustable gain controls. This means that no matter what kind of radio is connected to this amplifier, the appropriate gain control adjustment can be made to ensure loud, clear, distortion-free music. And even if the gain control level is set improperly, Pioneer's Gain Control Caution feature will automatically reduce the amplifier's output until the headunit volume is decreased to acceptable levels. This added layer of protection helps to prevent damage from occurring to the amplifier and the speakers connected to it due to improper gain control adjustments.
Making The Best Even Better
Built into the GM-5400T is a very smart crossover network. It works like a gateway, routing the big bass signals (80Hz or lower, at -12dB/octave) to the speaker that handles them best, filtering out higher-frequency signals to that speaker. This optimizes your system's efficiency and delivers the best possible sound quality.
Bringing The System Together
What, you DON'T own a Pioneer headunit? Well, we won't hold it against you. In fact we'll even help you build onto your system. The GM-5400T's speaker level inputs allow you to connect your OEM unit (or any unit that doesn't have the typical RCA-type inputs) without having to buy add-on adapters. S0, the install goes faster, you save money, and you've got a Pioneer amp in your vehicle.
